Verity with Phylicia Masonheimer is my best pick for what you’re describing. She covers biblical literacy and doctrine without a lot of fluff, and [spiritual disciplines](https://forum.victoriousinprayer.com/t/how-do-you-learn-to-pray/1761) too. Start with one of her longer theology series.

If you want something with more of an edge, try The Elisabeth Elliot Podcast. It’s archival, so less conversational, but Elliot was blunt about things like comfort and obedience.
