Did Jesus Water Fast?

Not a misread, Exodus 34:28 and Deuteronomy 9:9 both say he neither ate bread nor drank water. 1 Kings 19:8 never actually says Elijah went without water. Esther’s three days and Paul’s after Damascus were dry too but short, so Moses stands alone.

Hungry at the end but not thirsty… I’d lean toward a water fast. The supernatural dry fasts in Scripture are always marked as miraculous and nothing in Matthew or Luke hints at that for basic hydration.

Fasting 40 days on water only is doable.

But dry fasting for 40 days would take something supernatural… That’s why I think Jesus was drinking water.

40 days without water isn’t possible without some miracle. 3 days is usually the limit for humans.

I think Jesus’s forty-day fast was sustained by something beyond what the body can normally provide, water or dry… Extended fasting brings out the worst in the flesh pretty fast. Anger hits me after just a few days without food.
