I’ve been trying out Upward lately and I’m a bit confused about how the likes system works. How does the Upward dating app work, and do likes disappear if you don’t upgrade?

I have used old dating sites but I will admit apps are new to me..

Your likes still sit there behind the blur until you match or pay to look. [The app changes stuff pretty often](https://forum.victoriousinprayer.com/t/upward-dating-app-reviews-from-real-christians/480) though, so don’t quote me on any of that.

Incoming likes stay hidden unless you upgrade, but they don’t get deleted on the free plan. Those people will still show up in your deck and you can match with them then.

The like count moves around though, it can drop if someone deletes their account or pulls back their like.

Coming from the old searchable sites, I didn’t get Upward at first. The free plan kept my likes around.

I wasted my first week scrolling right past the faith answers.
