I’ve started asking: does a song tell the gospel, or just use God-ish language?
A song can make me feel spiritually awake without being something I’d use to teach someone about Jesus.
Creed is still on my driving playlists, especially on days when I’m working through guilt or anxiety. But I’m more careful about what I bring into women’s Bible study or recommend to younger believers. Alone in the car, it can push me toward prayer. For church, I want lyrics clearer about Christ.
