JD Vance wife has no plans to convert?

Aren’t we overthinking this whole thing? Their marriage and how they work it out is really between them, not something we need to dissect or have opinions about.

I get being curious about interfaith marriages in general. But when it comes to specific couples and their specific arrangements, I don’t know, it feels like we should just let them figure out what works for them without needing to understand every detail.

There’s a lot we can legitimately discuss and debate about public figures, but how a husband and wife handle their private spiritual lives together shouldn’t be one of them.

I like that JD has been pretty open about hoping she might come to faith someday while also accepting where she is now. I wish I had such a balance between praying for someone’s salvation and respecting their way in my own family.

What about spiritual intimacy?

As Christians, we talk about praying together as couples, reading Scripture together, and having that spiritual bond. In an interfaith marriage that whole dimension is… absent? Or different anyway.

That’s gotta affect the marriage itself beyond just the kids’ question.
