What Did Jesus Mean By Eunuchs In Matthew 19

Right, so the sign of this gift (in my view) is a settled ability to offer that part of life to God without becoming divided or bitter.

I think you meant ‘nobody has to get married or have sex to survive.’ Biologically… sure. But Scripture seems to be asking something deeper: what kind of life has God actually given you grace to live?

When Jesus says ‘Let the one who is able to receive this receive it,’ I hear an invitation rather than a universal rule. Almost like He’s naming a capacity some people come to recognize over time.

God opens doors for all kinds of people to serve Him fully, even when life looks different from the usual path.

Some are called to skip marriage so their time stays open for prayer and helping others. That choice brings real peace when it’s from Him.

Origen castrated himself over this verse. Actual self-castration. The early church condemned him for it, and the literal reading got rejected almost immediately.
