What does Heaven look like?

When my dad was dying, he kept picturing clouds and harps, all that made heaven sound less real than earth. Then our pastor read Luke 24, the risen Jesus eating fish. Resurrection hope is solid and embodied, not ghostly.

On 1 Corinthians 2:9. Paul’s quoting Isaiah 64:4 there, and verse 10 picks up with ‘but God has revealed them to us by his Spirit.’ So it’s about the gospel, not heaven being beyond imagining.

And separately, Revelation 21:23 says the city has no need of the sun or moon. Which isn’t quite the same as them being gone.
