Hi brothers and sisters in Christ! I’ve been curious about which Christian dating apps have worked well for others in our community. I know there are quite a few options out there like Christian Mingle and Upward, but I’d love to hear personal experiences and recommendations from fellow believers who’ve actually used them.
I’m especially interested in hearing about which apps have helped you connect with others who truly share our values and faith walk. God bless you all, Amen!

Hinge and Bumble worked best for me. I tried Christian Mingle and Upward too and the pool on those was tiny and a lot of people seemed to have checked ‘Christian’ the way you’d check a demographic box (see this thread).
Met my spouse on a secular app.
Upward skews younger, Christian Mingle has a wider age range and Salt is worth a look if you care about longer faith-focused profiles though a lot depends on how many people are using it in your area.
The best app is whichever one you end up deleting because you met someone.
Christian Cafe did better than the bigger names for me and it had better filters. I prefer it to the apps and it might be worth a try.
My mentor always said the best app is the one you get to delete, and I’d add that Salt really depends on local numbers.
Curious what made it stand out beyond the better filters you mentioned.
Did people there seem more up for real conversations?

The ‘checked Christian like a demographic box’ thing shows up on the secular apps too, without anyone pretending everyone there is a believer… you go in expecting to do the sorting yourself instead of trusting the app did it for you.
Did a prompt answer about church or faith tip you off, or did you not know your spouse was a believer until the first few conversations?

Fewer lone 'hey’s drifting off into the void, people who pay to message generally do message. Smaller and often older crowd though.
Someone who mentions their home church, their small group, a verse that’s important to them or how they serve is showing a real faith walk. A Christian label on its own tells you almost nothing.
‘Faith is important to me’ type answers deserve a quick follow-up question early on.
I’ve been assuming the Christian label on an app does some of the filtering for me but yeah… a lot of people seem to set it without thinking and when I ask them about it they don’t even know it was there.
I’d rather go in with my guard up and ask about faith directly, rather than assuming everyone there believes the same things I do.
