My Journey Away from Marijuana and Toward God

I used to find solace in marijuana, but it became a crutch that hindered my spiritual growth. As Galatians 5:16 reminds us, “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Through prayer and faith, I’ve found that true peace comes from God, not substances, and I’m working to overcome this struggle with His guidance.

I’ve witnessed how marijuana can cast a shadow over a life, dimming the light of personal growth and smothering the spark of potential. In God’s garden, every herb has its purpose, but we must be careful not to let it overshadow the radiant path He has laid before us.

Trust in your God-given discernment.

The Lord provides plants for healing, and for some, cannabis may help ease their suffering. Judge not their circumstances, for only God knows the depths of another’s pain. Seek wisdom and pray for those who struggle, that they may find true healing in Christ.

You’re not alone in this struggle. When substances cloud your mind, it’s hard to feel close to God. Opening up about these challenges can be the first step toward healing.

Your faith community is here to support you on the path to recovery and a deeper connection with your spirituality.

Stay strong in your journey. When cravings hit, I find comfort in prayer, sharing my struggles with the Lord. I remind myself that His peace surpasses any temporary relief substances might offer. It's okay to feel weak - that's when we can lean on His strength the most.
