Some churches treat dramatic outward experiences as proof of the Holy Spirit. Never had that, but I do think the Holy Spirit is in my life.
What do you think? What are the signs of having the Holy Spirit?

Paul says no one can say ‘Jesus is Lord’ except by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:3). Gifts differ too, so you don’t need any one dramatic gift, and Paul is clear that not everyone speaks in tongues.
Lord, help me answer this. I have never had the big outward experience, and I still believe your Spirit is at work in me.
The signs I keep asking you to confirm are small ones. Scripture catches my excuses and sends me to plead for mercy… Comfort shows up in ordinary sorrow. I find myself praying for people who are hurting or hard to love.
When those things are there, I trust you’re near.
The fruit Paul lists in Galatians 5 is the clearest sign to me. 10 years ago I’d have held a grudge for months… now I feel like I have the ability to be more kind and patient and that comes from Him.
